Three Village Inn

We reluctantly booked this room for a friend as the reviews are so awful but we thought, “how bad can it really be?” Bad! It really is as dreadful as the other reviews decry. The worst part is not the old furniture and sorely in need of updating bathrooms, the worst part was the customer service or lack of any interest in providing customer service. No customer service coupled with a bad attitude. Never again will we book guests here.

With a bed, clean sheets, thermostat, lockable door and TV, It's shelter.

Think of an older Motel 6 interior in an older 3 unit wooden structure. Not designed nor furnished with an eye to comfort, but the ease of cleaning, and getting the unit ready for the next guest. My room ( at over 300 per night) lacked any sense of warmth. Cold bare floors, industrial toilets, old towels that might have been white at one point, thin plastic cups and single serve fast-food restaurant pouches for coffee; all these things gave the place a cheap motel feel. The location is great, the building could be charming, but ...the place needs an owner who cares to elevate the experience.

The location in Stony Brook Village is great. It’s an easy walk to the yacht club and restaurants. From the exterior it looks really charming. But that’s an illusion!

There’s a reason others give this place horrible reviews. It’s horrible! Here’s a good example; when I entered the room and turned on the light it was flickering and continued to flicker. Obviously, a tad annoying so I went to the front desk to ask if they could please replace the light bulb. The staffer just looked at me like I was crazy. I asked if they had another bulb and I would replace it myself and the response was, they’d see what they could have the handyman do next time he’s in! Needless to say, the “handyman” never showed up. The decrepit furniture and outdated bathroom wasn’t bad enough. My entire stay I had to endure that flickering light.

The view was beautiful and the cottages were adorable

The room was dirty and filled in bugs.

Close to Stony Brook University without all of the noise. Quiet location.

The place was gorgeous, and the staff went above and beyond in accommodating our needs. Well-appointed room and bathroom.

I was disappointed that there was no fridge in the room and that you need to bring your ice bucket to the front desk to get ice. There was a wedding in the hotel and it was very busy and I didn't want to bother the front desk for ice.

We did not get breakfast, no one advised me when I booked the room that there were 2 weddings that weekend, we could not even use the grounds. I do not recommend this property for anything other than weddings. It seems to be strictly a wedding venue. The room certainly not worth 300.00
