Abelonas Retreat

Lovely place and staff. Delicious breakfast and very convenient location. Best sunset place too

A friend and I spent 2 nights at Abelonas Retreat and had a fabulous stay in a studio room with a caldera and sea view. Must recommend both views for stunning sunrise and sunsets. The service at the front desk was impeccable. They answered all our questions before and during arrival/stay; in addition to arranging transport to and from the port (a must!). The room was simple but just what we needed and the views were incredible. Breakfast on our terrace each morning was charming and romantic. Location was perfect - right off the caldera hike path and much less crowded than neighboring Oia or Fira. In addition, we were walking distance from a few shops and lovey tavernas. The front desk suggested Aroma Gefsis upon arrival (just a few steps away!) and we were treated like family. Our only complaint is that our stay wasn’t longer. Would definitely stay again!

Paul and Mario are awesomet! Super helpful and very nice. Mario played soccer with my kids and Paul recommended several great dinner and tour locations. Both sunrise and sunset views are amazing from this location. We really liked Imerovigli. Less expensive than Oia, a much different view of the sunset and much less crowded. The room was a lot of space and the breakfast was really great.

It was amazing! Great location, delicious breakfast and everyone was super friendly and helpful. Paul at the front desk was the best! Would definitely stay again.

Our room, #3, had amazing views of the Caldera, and had a wrap around balcony that showed the amazing sunrise and the sunset! Wonderful property!

Location was quiet. Didn’t realize I’d have views of a restaurant outside my patio instead of right into the caldera as expected.

Very nice place!!! The view is overlooking the Med. The breakfast they serve, absolutely fabulous and the offer a lot of options. Located near many restaurants no matter what direction you go, near a market, ATM, car rental, ATV rental, etc. The staff is super friendly and very helpful with you going to all the good places!!! Their price is spot on!! Highly recommend.

You get to see both sunset and sunrise. The caldera and the beach are seen as well. Breakfast brought to the room and I had a chance to eat it in the balcony looking at the sea. Lola was outstanding!

The staff were very welcoming!
