Garden Place Hotel

Wanted a romantic getaway with my fiancé on her 28th at a local iconic hotel. Instead went to a run down expensive hotel. Can’t even walk through the place cause you trip on the wrinkles in the carpet all across the lobby!!!

Recently stayed at the Garden Place Hotel for the first time and overall it was a nice experience. The service was excellent and the hotel has charm. I would say it could use some updates to the hotel, but the room itself was fine. Overall, no complaints.

Neat little hotel near the airport. A lot more fun than your typical cookie cutter hotel, easy walking distance to the Anchor B catar home of the original Buffalo wing. Great price for a hotel near the airport. Would stay there again within the area.

Stayed on 3rd floor. room was very quiet and clean. Had a dog so was in pet friendly room. Hardwood floors no carpeting in room. Huge shower in bathroom. We actually had a very comfortable king bed new mattress and cover was on mattress unlike some others experiences with plenty of pillows. Coffee in room no free breakfast but Cafe downstairs you can buy food in the mornings. The lounge was closed for renovation when we stayed however. Microwaves available near ice machines. Fridge in room. My husband used free hotel shuttle from airport. It promptly picked him up and brought to hotel. The rugs in hallways are old as well as furniture but with the cost of the stay was what I expected. It's not the Ritz. There is garbage on grassy areas outside near parking lot my only real complaint. Outside of hotel is rundown but as mentioned the room was fine and large. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Hotel is run down and needs to be upgraded. They operate with minimal staff and are doing a poor job maintaining the facilities. Was a great place to stay but no longer the case.

CARPET needs restreching or replaced—trip or fall hazard Shower faucet needs to be replaced or repaired Breakfast really needs to be changed—food terrible, no buffet, only limited menu and had to pay separately. It’s not included. Staff was not helpful. Asked questions and got different answers from different people. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Stayed 4 nights. Each of the first 3 nights upon returning from sight seeing, my key failed to work. It wasn't demagnetized, it was only coded for 1 night each time. Instead of checking, the front desk person would assume I had somehow demagnetized the card and would just recode it...for one night again. On day 3, my toilet backed up. I called to the front desk and asked for someone to check it while I was out for the day. Upon returning, nobody had checked it. I again called the front desk and they offered to get me a new room as they didn't have anyone to perform maintenance. I informed them I'd rather not pack and switch rooms, that if they had a plunger I would fix it myself. They brought me a plunger and I fixed it. Obviously I don't feel I would stay here again.

Definitely is in need of some updates. No free breakfast.

Huge room, with virtually no furniture. Sink drained very slowly. Body wash dispenser in shower was empty, and there was no bar soap for the sink. Sauna was terrrible--poor design, cheap heater and did not get hot. Nothing like a proper Thermory sauna

Carpets were disgusting, none of the ice machines worked, decor was very neat and unique, but a lot of it was run down and in need of repair
