Nevsky Grand Apartments

Our room was in the "historic building", which was up four flights with no elevator through some kind of weird renovated warehouse. Picture a place where Jason Bourne would hold up while hiding from the CIA. The room itself was fine, just getting there was no joy at all. Front desk staff was friendly, got to watch them get berated by some crazy pregnant French lady, so that was entertaining.

We spent only two days in St. Pit. It was wondrtful. And very hot. The city is very beautiful.

5 days in St PB at the Nevsky---easy walks to all big attractions--shops restaurants --minimarket and liquor ---Hotel and staff were very good, --English speaking and friendly,Lic rest. in hotel nice -inexpensive -and good solid breakfast. I highly recommend no probs at all peter

There is much to love about this hotel; its location just off Nevsky Prospekt is ideal, the in-house restaurant's buffet breakfast was inexpensive and delicious, the hotel itself was in good shape, staff were helpful with directions, as well as the things mentioned above (in-room safe,etc). But a major drawback to this hotel is noise. The walls are so thin that you hear everything in the other rooms, and I do mean everything. This problem was probably compounded by the fact that we were there during Russia's holiday week, so there were many partiers in the hotel who stayed up all night--which meant we did too. The hotel does have posted quiet hours, but they are not enforced. Unless you can sleep though just about anything, you may want to avoid this hotel.

Exceptional location. Good simple hotel. Very small rooms. Very-very small TVs (<19"?). No coffee, tea, microwave, etc. Good value overall.

The wifi of the hotel had problems one night, the receptionist was very rude handling the matter with the guests.

Location is perfect, room clean, service good, breakfast so tasty

The hotel is near the metro and within walking distance to major sights & attractions. Check in & check out was a breeze and the staff were pleasant & helpful with our requests. The room was small but clean. There is no complimentary beverages in the room but there is water dispenser along the corridor. The only setback was the wifi reception in the room was poor and aircond was a bit noisy. A nice place to stay if you are looking for a no-frill hotel in the city. Convinent and easy access to restaurants.
