Location was great

We booked a room with a view and king bed, the view was of the side of a building, our bed was two singles pushed together, it has to be the most uncomfortable stay to date, we booked for the facilities which were really run down and out of order, this was not explained to us beforehand as purely booked for the gym and steam facilities. The tv in our room didn’t work, the bathroom was really outdated with hole in ceiling. The room we were given isn’t pictured on the advert so very misleading. I have reached out and haven’t had a response. There are much nicer boutique properties in the area for a much lower price. Super disappointing as this was supposed to be a lovely getaway.

Buffet breakfast was excellent.

The "Heritage" room was old, tatty, and not particularly clean. The "bathroom" was a very small room with a shower and toilet. The handbasin was in the main room. The Larder restaurant was very expensive. The whole experience (except for breakfast) was very poor value for money.

We attended The Faulty Towers Experience in the “Ball Room” which was drab and boring for what the name announced, not sure if the sound was up to the company putting on the show or the Mantra but it was very difficult to hear a lot of what was going on, people’s meals were missed, cold and very boring. We thought staying at the venue would be a great idea but the price for the room given it was a long weekend was ridiculous for what we got, $350 for a very basic room was over the top even for a long weekend. It took nearly 45 mins to check in, the line of people was long, (obviously everyone decided 4pm was a good time to check in) and the staff was doing their best but seemed quite slow. The express check in option wasn’t that much better and I’m glad I didn’t know about it and paid extra for it. The bar staff were good but with extra check in time taken we missed out on half of the happy hour.

It was clean and nice

Very dissapointing to pay so much extra for a beach view room but was only able to view the beach when right up to the window. Our view was what was pictured as “garden view.” I had specifically paid extra for the beach view. The resort also seemed very very quiet so unsure why this was not accommodated. If I had have paid the price for the garden room I would have been very happy with our accomodation. However the images advertised for beach view was what I was paying for
