Escale Oceania Vannes

This hotel was just what I needed, very conveniently located for old town and the train station. The room was a little tight but modern, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the price was good. A win as far as I'm concerned!

Very good stay and so nice to have coffee/tea making facility in the room with fresh milk available from the kitchen. The hotel restaurant is adequate should you not fancy the short walk down to the many restaurants in the town. Breakfast was excellent but do not leave it too late as the buffet did not appear to be refreshed after 0900.

We had stayed here before some years ago and chose the hotel for its location and based on our previous experience. The hotel is maintained to a high standard and the staff are attentive and friendly. Breakfast is the normal buffet style with fresh items being brought out continually rather than having food sit on display for several hours. It can get a bit hectic in the breakfast room after 9.00 a.m. which when the majority of guests seem to come down, but you don't have to wait more than a few minutes for a table to be made available. The rooms are a bit small but are comparable with similar type hotels such as the Ibis chain. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spotlessly clean with regular changes of linen during our ten day stay. We stayed ten days and rarely used the car other than for a day trip to Nantes and to do some wine shopping at the Leclerc hypermarket on the last day. We spent most days walking along the Gulf and also taking a boat trip out into the Gulf with a brief stop on one of the islands.

Modern, clean hotel, near centre of Vannes. Parking at hotel. With roof-box, parking on other side of road, free between 19:00 and 09:00. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Kettle, cups in room. No tea-bags for those who must have their tea. Take your own! Definitely, would stay there , again.

One night stay, focused on visit to Vannes old city.

Not for those wanting a hotel with character. Very modern, everything worked well. Tight and expensive on-site parking, and an excellent but again expensive breakfast. Bathroom had really good large walk-in shower and a separate toilet. Well placed to be able to walk into town to eat and drink.

Located only a 5 minute walk from the old city and about a 25 minute walk from the train station. Really helpful and friendly staff. The room was nice although did smell of cigarettes. It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room as drinks in the hotel were very expensive. Lovely hotel with an excellent location.

Best hotel!

Having recently had ankle surgery, I did not appreciate having to hang on to anything to stop myself from slipping on the unsafe shower flooring! I survived to thoroughly enjoy my stay in the improved version of 'Hotel Mascotte'!
