1 Hotel San Francisco

The 1 Hotel San Francisco is a rare gem. It has a modern and clean (yet warm) aesthetic, an incredible location right across from the Ferry Building, and is dog-friendly. Our pup was greeted with a treat upon our arrival, making him feel very welcome, and Jeremey and Jackie at the front desk greeted us warmly and were helpful throughout our stay. Our room had a comfy couch that looked out over the Bay Bridge, enabling us to enjoy watching all of the activity along the Embarcadero and in the Bay, as well as an incredibly cozy bed. The gym is spotless and well-equipped, and the restaurant has unbelievably fast service with healthy options that are sure to satisfy you. (Be aware that lunch service ends at 2PM and the afternoon menu is more limited.) I highly recommend a long stroll along the Embarcadero to enjoy the giant sculptures that are part of the Big Art Loop. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and 1 Hotel will be our go-to when visiting SF!

Wow! What and incredible experience -10/10 recommend. Amal is the best, she went above and beyond to make us comfortable and accommodate our schedule. We had our doggies with us, and her and her team ensured that everyone was comfortable and relaxed. Thank you Amal and team for a great soak and massage experience. We will definitely be booking again next time we stay.

Excellent location surrounded by great bars and restaurants. Modern property with strong amenities, a fantastic lobby bar, and dining options. Everything is walkable, and the staff is friendly and very accommodating.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the 1 Hotel. I shared with the concierge, Geoffrey Faller, that it was a special occasion for my husband and he truly made the stay memorable. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. In addition, I had the pleasure of coordinating a trip to the spa and worked with Amal who made my spa visit incredible! She was so attentive and generous- I’m sure to visit again.

We liked the room and the location but we missed an important appointment because valet took 30min to get our car. No one gave us any warning it would take that long (in fact when we got there someone told us it would be right up) and the person working at the valet was standing around for minutes at a time. When I said we really need to leave can we get the car ourselves, the person at the stand said someone was getting it right then, but then 5 minutes later he left to get the car. Then after 10 minutes of standing around we asked again if we could go get the car ourselves and the person said “it’s out of our hands you’re going to have to wait.” What do you mean it’s out of your hands?! Our car key is literally in your hands. A lot of weird, disempowering lying. It’s ok to be busy, but be up front about it or let us get the car ourselves so we aren’t standing around wondering what’s going on missing important appointments we’d need to pay hundreds of dollars to reschedule. For a pretty upscale hotel, I’d expect a lot better.

My partner and I did the rooftop bath. One of the best SF experiences you can have and Amal was wonderful! Highly recommend!!

If you are considering it...do it! Nothing like resetting yourself after a long week with a wonderful bath outdoors on the roof top! I wanted to experience the novelty and relaxation! Calm and fun experience sans phone as well for me. 30 min is likely enough but I chose 50 min for full immersiveness.

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The service was friendly and helpful, and the room was beautiful. The location is better than a lot of hotels further up Market St. or Nob Hill. We stay in San Francisco often and we are happy to have a new hotel to enjoy.
