Location

There were some dead bug debris along the baseboards and edge of the bed. Also a small roach looking bug ran across the bathroom floor. When I tried to catch it with a tissue I saw long black hair on the bathroom floor. Also the towels looked soiled on one of the hand towels. Really needed new towels that are not dingy looking. The sheets on the bed were old and thin from use along with fraying around some of the top. When we arrived to check in the front desk lady was extremely nice. When we arrived later in the evening to obtain our room key the young girl was more interested in babying a kitten she had found so she held the kitten in one arm and attempted to get us with keys with the other. I noticed a card with signatures from a previous guest still sitting on the counter by the card reader. She again was more concerned of caring for the kitten. There was a small animal crate on the check in counter. I have a difficult time with this since this area was the designated area for breakfast.

It was a clean room, the employee at the front desk at check in was very friendly.

One of the outlets didn’t work, I didn’t like the a/c unit it was very loud which would have been fine if it stayed on continuously, however it kicking on and off was very disruptive during the night. I did read that there would be a $100 deposit, however upon checking in, I was charged $150 and I’m still waiting on it to be released.

For an older looking motel it has been nicely renovated to modern standards. It was clean, efficient and a friendly staff. We only stayed one night but it was comfortable. We stayed on the first floor to save not taking the stairs with Luggage to the second floor. There was quite a selection for continental breakfast. But hardly a gluten free options except yogurt and coffee or juice.
