La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Albuquerque Midtown

This was our first time staying at this location and it was unappealing to say the least. We checked in and got into our room, we saw that our bed sheets were not clean, it looked as if they just made the bed without putting clean sheets on. There were stains on the sheet and mascara on the pillow case. I did call the manager and told him, instead of being apologetic about the situation, he seemed to get annoyed and insisted that the room was clean and he was “sending his executive housekeeper to the room and to explain it to her and she would take pictures”. The housekeeper did come up and changed the bedding in front of us, no pictures were taken. The shower looked unsanitary and had mildew around the caulking and just looked very dirty. The tv remote was not working, so, we called the front desk and she came up to the room and tried to fix it but she couldn’t figure it out, she tried a new remote and that did not work either. So for the night, we had to get on the dresser (the tv was mounted to the wall so we couldn’t reach behind it) and change the channel from the cable box. We paid $123 for one night with a deposit of $50 and another $20 was taken from our account when we were just told about the $50 deposit. We paid $123 for a $1 experience. 100% overpriced for the quality of the room and the attitude from the manager. -1000000/10, do not recommend. We will definitely be staying elsewhere when we come back into town.

Bed Bugs and the numerous homeless individuals. The homeless are not the hotels fault.

Location was good. Kelly, the front desk staff was amazing with guests. I had an issue with a prior Wyndam booking and was quite a bit frustrated from the misinformation from that booking. Luckily, I was able to cancel and locate this very nice hotel. Kelly assisted with our needs wonderfully, and also at the same time she assisted several other guests promptly and professionally. Our room was perfect for our needs in traveling with 2 GSP dogs. It was spacious, clean, and almost felt like home as it was very roomy (king suite). I felt like a queen walking into this room. Ha! Thank you, again, Kelly for acknowledging my frustration and for caring about our needs.

The overall cleanliness of the room was good and the beds were comfortable.

The breakfast wasn't all it was hyped up to be. The selection was very limited, there was no fresh fruit, there was only a couple of bread item's, no muffin's or bagel's, no biscuits, there was only scrambled eggs and sausage which had no flavor.

Had a place for the dogs to play.
