Protea Hotel by Marriott Mossel Bay

The staff was absolutely amazing. From Daniesha at Reception, Siya in the bar, to Ronnie at Cape Saint Blaze gin. Every single staff encounter was great. The extent to which they went to ensure our stay was the most comfortable and personalised experience was just mind-blowing and the best my wife and I have experienced at any hotel we've ever stayed at. The hotel is centrally located to visit most attractions. We will definitely return.

The food @ Cafe Gannet was excellent. Our room was clean and spacious with a great view. The staff was friendly and helpful.

DSTV remote was faulty Building repairs underway with an angle grinder in the room next door - so we were moved to another room. The next room had a faulty shower/basin plumbing issue But...the staff were very responsive and courteous..and went the extra mile..so hats off to them.

I think it would help to check the towel rail in the shower. It is going to come out of the wall when somebody next leans on it. The wall plugs are too small for the grip. Otherwise I will be back. Room 226

Friendly staff. Easy access

Amazing Hotel, It was a last minute find as we were driving the Garden Route towards Cape Town. Very friendly and helpful staff, Hotel is beautiful, room is spacious enough for two people with all the amenities. Great beds and shower is phenomenal!! would highly recommend and will stay there again. Thank you

Beds were comfortable view was as exspected. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The bathroom stank of sewage, it was really strong and we noticed on check in that the room had just been cleaned and the bathroom had a heavy smell of bleach or some king of disinfectant. All the doors and windows were open, obviously to air out the room. This is a clear indication that the problem is known to management.
