Gulf Way Inn Clearwater

Gulf Way is a renovated motel from the 60s-80s era??? It provided a very basic, clean, comfortable stay for a couple nights, just a bed to sleep in, really. Everything worked (AC/heat, refrigerator, microwave, lights, hair dryer, etc), bed decent, linens, and room was clean.

The photos were twice as nice as the actual property!! Property was run down and not at all appealing. I was shocked and asked to see the room I had booked before I decided to stay. Surprisingly it was fine. No musty odors, comfortable environment, clean. Certainly not the Ritz, but wanted an affordable stay. Spring season room nights in Florida are very pricey! Cars in parking lot were Mercedes, BMW, Acura, Nissan, Yukon, etc... assume drivers could afford more but looking for decent bargain also!

The tv didn’t work, no wifi, the latch on the door broke

The room was clean.

The carpet needed to be cleaned. The person who helped me was indiferant at best.

To many locals drinking and yelling walking around the property.

Not clean or safe. Would not stay here again.

The manager, I don’t know what nationality is it doesn’t matter it’s not the point he’s very ignorant acting arrogant walks around. Looks at you wishes. You were dead makes you feel that way anyway motel is very rundown cigar burns in a sheet door does not shut and latch unless you make sure it is slammed somebody walked into My Wife twice one time she was naked Water does not get hot. It gets warm sugar burns in the sheets, cigarette butt on the floor under the bed, apparently two parts of the motel, one of which the family of the manager stays in the other, which part which is rundown is where people like me pay to stay Stayed here for a week. Had my room key. Reset three times was locked out three times. Had to go get my key reenergized to a little security window because they do not let you in the office to check in could go on and on and on don’t stay here it is terrible place.
