Matus Guest House

The location of this property is exceptionally convenient for downtown San Ignacio and the market area. The staff were kind, friendly, and attentive without being in your face. Overall it was a cheap sleep. Provided fans were adequate. They accepted credit cards on site with a small fee. It felt safe in the area.

The facilities were in worse condition than I expected. 100% of the sheets had holes in them. The mattresses were well-used.

Close to town centre. Warm shower. Nice staff

There are partition walls consisting of a thin plank of wood between the bedroom and bathroom of next door. Can hear absolutely everything. No air con but did have electric stand up fan

Welcoming staff, always happy to help. Good sized room. Comfortable and clean. Great water pressure in the shower ( only cold water). Great location close to town, but up a hill so nice views from the balcony. Coffee and drinking water provided

Kitchen was useful, but a bit higgledy piggledy and often being used by staff, so we sometimes felt a bit in the way when we wanted to make food. There is a coffee maker, but a kettle would be an easier option. Quite expensive for what it is.
