Clean. Good food. Friendly staff.

We had a room with a large bed and a single bed. The large bed was two beds zipped together . The mattress on the one half of the big bed was absolutely done. It was lumpy , saggy and very uncomfortable. It was not what you would expect to find in a 4 star hotel.

For a hotel of this rating with the price paid for the rooms, we’d expect the rooms to have a mini fridge. Nowhere to store water etc which I was surprised at. Parts of the hotel are very difficult to access as lots of steps and the stair lifts seemed temperamental. We struggled with a pram so a wheelchair user I imagine would have real trouble. Lovely helpful staff made up for this & the grounds are beautiful.
