Brookings Inn

I don’t even know where to start. The motel dose not have an elevator. The halls and doors have dirt all over them. Then you the room and bathroom are the same. The motel has 200+ rooms and one ice machine that worked in the whole building. Had to walk 10 miles to get ice. The beds are horrible to sleep in. Only half of the TV channels worked the rest were frozen. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anybody.

Staff were really friendly. However, the property is lacking. Very outdated. No elevator. Stairwell door to get to up/down was jammed so had to go around to other side in order to gain access up and down. Rooms were stale and being was old and worn. Air conditioning had difficulty keeping up.

Mold growing on the floor into the fridge. Smelled terrible. Toilet seat discolored and chipping. We did get our room changed. Second room was a little better but there was mold in the shower. Pool was the best part but had to ask to have it opened both days.

Great hotel. Only drawback was the wifi was very spotty. No serice most of the stay.

This property is way overdue for a remodel. Rooms and common areas are filthy. Fridge was moldy and made a clicking noise all night. I asked to have the fridge looked at. Ended up unplugging it on night two so I could sleep. Lazy river was FREEZING, to the point no one could use it. None of the exterior doors required key entry and were never locked. Mouse traps in the stairwells. Gym has been turned into a salon and moved to room 106. You have to ask the front desk for a key to get into the “gym.”The list goes on. Don’t let the updated exterior fool you. I would NOT recommend this property.

This property was nice in a decent area, and the swimming pool was AMAZING for an indoor pool at a hotel! The rooms themselves were out of date, and needed some maintenance TLC. They seemed clean, but dingy. Nice that it had a restaurant onsite. The breakfast room was lacking. We had to ditch for Starbucks with a hot sandwich.

Musty, falling apart hotel. Stinks of mold in the common areas and the room. The gym was a joke so I found a local park around the corner for a long walk, thank goodness. Not many options in Brookings so I had to stay for my two day trip.

The hotel didnt feel clean at all, splatters on the wall/door, no mattress protector on the bed, small bug (not BB) on the mattress and the AC wasn't working. Wasn't great...not terrible but not great.
