It’s not 4 star quality. More 3 star. Needs to be refurbished. Breakfast was mediocre- worst one I have had in a Mercure.

"The hotel management couldn't care less"

Due to an unexpected event (out of my control) I was forced to cancel the reservation just a few hours after the free cancellation deadline, and contacted the hotel 24h before arrival, as the booking was already prepaid by OTA. Unfortunately, although the agency was willing to refund the whole amount (after the hotel had agreed), the management couldn't care less. They didn't accept any of the alternatives proposed (half/full refund, date changes or credit towards future travel), nor did they offer any solution but to push the problem back to the agency and look away. I completely understand that some rules must be followed, but their total lack of empathy, transparency and willingness to sort something that simple was astonishing. They seemed completely unfazed by the situation. I am deeply disappointed by their hostile approach.
