Spark by Hilton Bluffton Hilton Head Island

There was a strong chemical smell throughout the hotel, especially in the halls, and dining area after they were cleaned. My wife had problems with it making her nauseous and sneezed while we were at the hotel. They charged us 2 times for our dog. Once on the original bill and they had a separate charge on my Chase card for $53 charging me again. My wife complained to the front desk about the smell and nothing was done about it. I feel that we should have our money returned because of this. I will never stay there again!

We loved the location. It’s close to everything we needed and wanted. The TV in our room turned off and we couldn’t get it to turn back on. My husband went downstairs to get assistance and a nice young man ( a manager, owner or front desk employee)came up and fixed the problem even though it was around 1am. Coffee was available all day. I will book again.

There wasn’t a microwave in the room. We didn’t find out until I got out of the shower and wanted to reheat food. We went downstairs in our night clothes to heat up our food. I didn’t appreciate that. I didn’t go down for breakfast but my husband did. He was disappointed that there wasn’t a hot continental breakfast. He was looking forward to grits and pancakes/waffles .

We had a very enjoyable stay and will definitely be staying there again! The staff was courteous and very friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable, had a great 2 night sleep, fabulous mattresses, pillows and bedding!! The bathroom was big, plenty of towels, great lighting for applying makeup. Did not eat breakfast but the coffee was great, always tasted fresh brewed! The one and only complaint i have is the parking area around the hotel needs much more exterior lighting leading up to the hotel, area in front of hotel and around back parking area of hotel. It's very, very dark and makes older people like myself a bit nervous getting out of my car alone. Loved my stay and will be going back next year!
