Colts Neck Inn Hotel

The only thing I liked was the generous size of the mini fridge and the fact that it had a freezer (so I could use my ice pack in my cooler again the next day). This place had no other redeeming qualities. NONE.

Parking lot was a wreck- so first impression was foreboding. Room was stifling hot and smelled like weed in the bathroom. Could have lost a finger trying to open the window- had to prop it open with the TV remote control. The window locks were broken off but I guess they don’t care since it was the second floor? Thermostat was ancient and impossible to interpret, lighting was soooooo minimal. Bed felt like sleeping on a trampoline and my dog’s beds are better than the cheap pillows. Breakfast was all packaged carbs and I didn’t even dare try the coffee, so we drove to a local coffee shop for breakfast instead. We found hair on the bathroom counter and in the sheets. The faucet in the bathroom wasn’t caulked in place (it wiggled) and the water pressure made it really challenging to wash and condition my thick hair. Could barely see in the shower-no shower light and the shower curtain liner let in zero light. Stupid kitschy wooden signs everywhere. Just generally unwelcoming and skeevy.

The property is nice out and in however it needs updates in, and some parking spots repairs .

Outdated rooms

Es hat immerhin nicht rein geregnet. Alles in allem würden wir dennoch beim nächsten Mal nach einem anderen Haus in der Nähe schauen.

Wir haben vielleicht ein paar schlechte Tage erwischt. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert nur bedingt, im Winter wärmt sie, im Sommer kühlt sie, d.h. dazwischen ist es oft zu warm oder zu kalt. Eine Aircondition gibt es nur, wenn man nachfragt. Das Haus war alt und stickig. Wenn man gerne kalt duscht, ist man hier richtig. Das heiße Wasser funktionierte nämlich nicht. Um 5:00 Uhr morgens wird nebenan lautstark gearbeitet, Metallplatten geworfen und/oder Müll abgeholt, jedenfalls sehr laut und störend. Das Frühstück ist einfacher als einfach, und von dem Wenigen, was da sein sollte, fehlt die Hälfte. Das Personal ist überwiegend erkennbar gleichgültig und strotzt nicht gerade von Arbeitseifer. Das macht einfach keinen Spaß, wenn man nach vielem, was selbstverständlich sein sollte, jeweils fragen und dann darauf warten muss, dass sich jemand zu einer Lösung bequemt.

Everything this is a very lovely place to stay, charming atmosphere delightful individuals running the Inn and all the girls are great

Old does need updating.

Convenient location for our travels. Clean enough.

Facility is tired and in need of an update. Mattress needs to be replaced. 1980's time capsule.
