People blasting music all night long, people loitering all around building lol its a little rough.

Drug addicts and homeless people everywhere outside as well as inside. Room reeked of cigarette smoke. Hotel was run down. I felt unsafe, would not go back. Staff was nice.

There is no cable, no heat, no hot water, AND no wifi!!

There were cockroaches in the room

Liquor store on one side, free bath/laundry house on other. Homeless and addicted persons all around and in the property. Given one light bulb for three lamps. Missing half of a shower door. No blankets. 43 degrees and boiler heat not turned on yet. Bugs in bathroom. No ice machine or vending. No food service or restaurant. Broken chairs. Desk staff usually found outside smoking.

The lobby is gorgeous, I've never seen such clean and shiny floors anywhere, and the staff and residents were super helpful and welcoming. You are one block from a boardwalk and the ferry to Quadra, and a block away from Shoppers Row so the location is prime. This hotel, however, seems to be a combination of hotel and low-income rentals in an area of town with a lot of homeless people in the surroundings. The smell of cigarette smoke is pervasive (BUT not in our room AT ALL). I'd stay here again, especially now that I know the clientele and area.

Stained bed sheets, how’s in the wall to outside, unsafe street environment, nauseating odour

Ok for quick night's stay and somewhere to crash - it was cheap and you get what you pay for. I would not recommend if you were wanting to go on holiday. But it is great cheap place to sleep over

Very old and unkept propertry. It appears that the hotel is used to house marginalized people and the smell of cigarettes is overwhelming. Cockroaches were present. Expedia should do a better job of vetting the accomadations they are promoting.
