"Short & sweet"

This was our first visit to Clermont Ferrand. Hotel was basic but comfortable & clean. Staff were also nice & the food was good in the restaurant.

"Convenient for the Autoroute going South."

Our second stay in two weeks, two different rooms, could be two different hotels. This time, the room was tired, dirty carpets and smelly. The staff are great, the food ok, the restaurant quite attractive and access isn't bad, it's very convenient if you're heading south but it doesn't compare with Campanile Or Mans Gare SNCF or Ales.

"dirty!!!"

I have no idea why this hotel has such a high rating... For me the most important thing about a hotel room is cleanliness and our room wasn't clean at all, what is more when we got there we found a COCKROACH on our bed and a second one on a wall!!! I think this says enough... We requested a room change which was given to us. There were no roaches in the new room but I would certainly not call it clean. After the experience from the first room my wife wasn't able to sleep at all as she was afraid that there will be bugs. Also the outside of the hotel was dark I needed to use flashlight to be able to get to my room. Never again!

"Decent no-frills hotel"

The hotel is a standard Ibis budget hotel and you get what you pay for. The room was the standard Ibis budget no-frills room with a good bed and decent shower. Breakfast was reasonable although the dining area is bijou so wouldn't like to be there at a busy time. The hotel is handy for the local tram system into the city centre - the team stop is about a five minute walk and a return ticket costs 3 euro. Also the hotel is reasonably handy for the autoroute.
