"The worst stay in my life."

The worst stay in my life. I got a top floor room during a heat wave that was going through Belgium. There is no air conditioning in the rooms and in hot summer days conditions are unsupportable on the top floor. For the last night of my stay I asked to be moved to another room on one of the lower floors. The reception person told me that they were fully booked. I checked on Booking and it showed me there were plenty of rooms available. When I caught the receptionist lying, he told me that they don't have the workforce to prepare another room. I saw their cleaning person at work - really didn't look busy and out of time. They made me pay upon check-in. If not that, I would have moved out after first night. I checked out a night earlier, even though it was already payed.

"Maybe ok for one night in the winter, but overall disappointing"

Personnel was friendly

The place suffers from a general lack of maintenance; bad smell in the room, window broken, old bathroom, no AC at all but also no real air circulation. If I knew I would have preferred to pay double just to have some comfort.

"DO NOT STAY THERE UNTILL THEY INSTALL AC"

The hotel was okay (good location, staff and rooms).

The hotel does not have AC outside of the breakfast area, meaning it was unlivable. It was so hot, I had to shower every 45min while there, nothing I did helped, I was constantly sweating and needing 1h+ to wall asleep because of the heat. Thankfully I stayed there only for an hour or two outside of the night since it was a complete sauna.
