Quaint and interesting

No elevator

Victoria Rose was pretty. The amount of ambient light from sources other than the window was annoying. The hallway light bleeds thru the transom. The AC white light. The glow of fire alarm. Toilet paper is super low quality. Shower provision was sparse. The hotel is quaint, endearing and enjoyable. The attached restaurant was sublime. All dishes were excellent but beware of hidden costs--surcharge for using CC.

Great staff, very clean, great food!

Whatever you do do not book the Lariat and lace room. It is about 12 x 12 with a king size bed which means there is no room to maneuver. To top it off, your bathroom is not in your room, but detached off the hallway. You have to use your room key to get into your bathroom. The other rooms seemed nice though small, but you would expect that from an older building such as the Clinkscale. That is the major complaint. So if you’re going to go there do not book this room.

Nice large bathroom and comfortable cozy room. The restaurant was great too.

We really enjoyed the "old time" feel of this boutique (6 room) hotel. We don't believe in ghosts or haunted hotels but liked the carpeted stairs, quaint appointments, and cool room names. The bar/restaurant is on the ground floor and the rooms are above. The bar offered many unique and terrific cocktails. The dinner we had was exceptional, as was the service. Speaking of service, the General Manager (Mike) went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. The hotel is right in the middle of Jerome's main street.

We were not aware when we booked that our room (Lariat and Lace) did not have an ensuite bath. We had to go into the hall about 6 feet to our exclusive bath. This was not a big deal because with only a handful of rooms in the hotel, we never saw anyone else in the hallway.
