Campanile Hotel Vlaardingen

Lovely place. Very friendly staff.

very peaceful and relaxing with superb food and helpful service. it had a very comfortable home from home feel . close enough to metro and buses to get anywhere in Holland. would recommend staying in the campanile hotel/restaurant to anyone.

Bit like a block of old flats. Shutter over windows instead of curtains. No air circulation when shutter down. No air con. Room very dark.

Campanile is normally simple, friendly and a known quantity. This one is let down by some of its staff. Too lazy to look up my details in their system I had to fill out all the documents again. Rooms were not as clean as I am normally used to in Campanile hotels.

You get what you pay for. hotel to sleep in, slightly far away from the centre but very close to motorway.

We booked this hotel when going to the North Sea Jazz Festival. The hotel (should say motel) is very basic - a bed and a toilet. The facilities are old but clean and the staff is really nice and helpful. It's a good place to lay your head at night but you won't want to spend much time there. The major problem is that it's not close to anything. If you don't have a car, it's difficult to get to and get from. 25 EUR from Rotterdam central by taxi and 40 EUR to the Ahoy. it's a 20 minute walk to the train and 25 minutes to the metro. There's a 10 minute walk just to get to the nearest bus stop. It's just not convenient if you don't have a car.

Breakfast a bit poor

It definitely wasn't a 3* hotel. I developed a rush on my face during my stay there. I believe it was the bed sheets. I know it couldn't have been the water or the food as I have been in the Netherlands before and the only thing different from before, was the hotel. So, thumbs down from me.

I stayed a couple of days as I was moving from Rotterdam back to the USA. It was great to be able to have my dog with me. And the hotel is clean, reasonably comfortable with friendly staff. A great option for the price.
