Motel 6-Kingsburg, CA

Breakfast was not included but they did provide coffee, which was perfect.

The room was clean and everything was in good working order. My only complaint was the toilet seat needs to be replaced in the unit I stayed in. It was "dirty-looking" and scratched up like someone did that intentionally.

We liked the location and there are dog friendly.

We have stayed at this motel in the past and it was decent and comfortable. This time, we were very grossed out by the bedding. 2 of the pillows had blood stains on the cases. The bedspread several had huge nasty stains on it. We were wondering if the bedding had even been washed. Someone needs to make sure that there is clean bedding for their guests.

BED BUGS were discovered in our room, room #207. It was my daughter that found one but it was so big that it looked like a tic. THEN I found one crawling on my arm as I was laying in bed. We turned over the mattress and found another handful. Some babies but some that were so big that it was obvious that they have been there for a long time. We took pics, even put some of the dead ones in a water bottle, went to the front desk and spoke to an employee and then one of the owners or an affiliate. She didn't look or sound surprised and she said that the pest company they used said it was " fine" to wash their bedding in a standard washer and dryer and it would kill the bed bugs, which is NOT accurate. I let her know that the bedding also has fresh and dried blood in it, so obviously they aren't ridding of any bedding. The mattress cover and mattress was absolutely disgusting. Also, roaches would come out at night because they would scatter when I would turn on the bathroom light. This is an extreme health hazard and I had to throw all of our clothes away, family of 4 because I was taking a flight and didn't want to spread those bugs around. Had to go and get a new clothes. I dont have extra funds laying around but had no choice. I told them this and they didn't offer anything. She stated she couldn't refund me the room charges since I went through booking.com, but I needed to call booking.com and they can refund me and they would be able to see the necessary refund needed in their system. Called booking.com and was informed that Motel 6 didn't mention anything about the needed refund in their system. Therfore booking.com had to send over an inquiry about it. I've been waiting 2 days and still nothing from Motel 6
