Stoney Creek Inn is amazing. We have been staying there for over 18 years. Every visit is perfect. Each guest is a priority. Every staff member works as a team. Rooms are so clean and the setting gives a vacation feel each visit. Breakfast is included and is high quality.

We booked the suite for our anniversary expecting the advertised amenities. Here is what we actually experienced: • Jetted tub did not work • Fireplace did not work • Main hotel hot tub out of order • Hair in the sink upon arrival • Room in extremely worn condition • Children running and screaming in hallways until 11pm • At check-in staff handed us towels and asked us to carry them to our own room • Upon checkout we discovered bugs on cups in the room — we have this on video We brought all of this to the front desk calmly at checkout. Staff were visibly appalled by the bugs and assured us management would be in touch with a full refund. That was weeks ago. Despite multiple calls to the hotel and Booking.com, no refund has been issued. We paid $275 for amenities we did not receive and a room that had a bug infestation. We have video evidence. We are now pursuing a credit card dispute and have filed a complaint with the Illinois Department of Public Health. Dinner at Connected down the road was excellent. Sleep somewhere else.

The location was great. The room was not cleaned properly. Things were on the floor from the previous guest.

The room size and bathroom. The room itself was clean.

The pool was filthy. The water was so dirty and cloudy we couldn’t see our feet while in it. We felt. the need to leave right after getting in. Better chemical upkeep is needed. There were no towels in the pool and we had to get them from the front desk. The breakfast dining area tables were covered in crumbs from the previous people so we brought the food back to the rooms, which was a hassle given there isn’t a table in the rooms.

The theme was nest, the staff was kind.

Had to wait on the room to be cleaned, the room was dirty still, the toilet clogged so many times, breakfast could have more options. The smell of pot was so strong near the pool that you couldn’t even use it. The hot tub was not working.
