Hotel Alif Campo Pequeno

Hotel Alif is no longer what it was in the past. I have been using this hotel for years and now it is no more costumer friendly. There are no longer fruit baskets that use to greet the guests. The breakfast room use to have a great view of Campo Pequeno on the top floor. Now it is located n the send floor.

I had paid in advance for the room but when I arrived from the airport at 1am, the hotel receptionist insisted that I must paid again even though I showed evidence that I had already paid. Apparently despite the money being deducted from my account already in full they insisted this was ‘just a hold’. With little choice but to pay a second time as it was very late at night I did so with the promise that I would receive a full refund on check out. It took 10 working days for the first payment to be finally credited back to my account, most inconvenient and unnecessary.. surely this can’t be common practice but the hotel seemed to think this was ‘normal’. The receptionists were mostly rude and unhelpful’ and refused to actually listen to what I was saying, kept just repeating the same thing. By the time I finally got to my room an hour and a half later, the room was ok and the bed comfortable. All could have been avoided if the hotel just kept the first payment.

There was nothing special about this hotel - the room I was given seemed quite old.

Reasonable priced hotel in a good location to two metro lines and the Campo Pequeno area . This hotel IS NOT downtown.

I love the location of the property, it is easly accessible by road and subway. Rooms are calm and quite. I love the property very much.

It was a welcoming and quiet place. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
