Tanah Gajah, a Resort by Hadiprana

The tranquility, location beautiful, surrounded by rice paddy. Our room was large with possibility to sit outside on our terrace. Bathroom was with open roof but spacious and well organized The staff was very helpful and always so pleasant, when we went to Ubud town, we had no internet so the manager lend us a hotel phone in order to call when we wanted to be picked up again by the shuttle.

The location was only 10 minutes from the centre of Ubud, so a quiet and beautiful oasis away from the cultural hub. You are surrounded by nature, wildlife and rice fields...Bali back to its roots! We had morning yoga sessions with Dewa which were excellent - absolute pro! The food, drinks and massage and pool made it the most incredible break away we have had in a long time. Absolute luxury.

I cannot fault the Tanah Gajah team or facilities!

Tanah Gajah was one of the nicest resorts we've ever stayed in. It is very unique with all of the villas and facilities and accommodation set out over gorgeous grounds. So much care is taken, with fresh flowers decorating statues and beautiful vistas everywhere between the rice paddy fields, lily ponds, the pool area. We ended up staying in the resort a lot more than intended as it was such a pleasure to be in. We were upgraded to a pool villa which added to the experience. Our room was spacious, comfortable and really nicely furnished and decorated with real local character. Breakfasts were exceptional. We really enjoyed all the club benefits particularly the afternoon tea, evening cocktail, paddy field walk and laundry service. The staff were always friendly and efficient. We never saw anyone go in to clean our villa as they seemed to always know when it was free to clean. This is an exceptional place and we would love to return.

I hate to pick out anything as this resort was so exceptional but the evening meals didn't quite live up to the excellent level of everything else. The food was always nice and good quality and we still chose to eat in every night so this is a minor criticism but the food just seemed to sound tastier on the menu than was always delivered.

A fantastic resort with the best service. The villa was amazing and super clean with lots of great touches. The shuttle to Ubud centre was also very useful. The theming and attention to detail around the property is also amazing. The service is top notch with staff going above and beyond. The food in the restaurant and breakfast were also very good. The spa was also fantastic. It's not the cheapest but certainly one of the most memorable stays

Write and personable. Lots of space without too many people. Staff were excellent and very accommodating. Friendly to children.
