"Clean but bare minimum."

The place appeared to be newly renovated, with new floors, etc.

The room had no toiletries (nothing but soap), no kleenex; the towels were thin, there was a closet rod on the wall—no closet—with a box underneath to place your suitcase. No drawers. There was a refrigerator and a microwave.
