Maplewood Hotel

Hotel location is fantastic - located right in Downtown Saugatuck. You can go out the door and walk to anywhere in the city. Located on a main street and in between a city park and the post office. Staff are so efficient, friendly and helpful. Daily breakfast is so delicious and presented in such a lovely manner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We loved everything. Only suggestion might be to add a Keurig type hot drink maker, so that coffee and tea could be available throughout the day.

Breakfast was very convenient, simple, and delicious. There was an option for eating in a sunroom (which we chose each morning) which was lovely. The hotel was charming and convenient to everything in downtown Saugatuck. Even though parking is "limited" we had no trouble parking - either in the Maplewood's own parking lot, or across the street in front of the hotel proper. The room itself was quiet, and clean, and the bathroom was very nice.

The coffee was a weak. I thought the bean was a good choice, but brew was weak (which is probably a safer choice for the masses than making it too strong). However, the coffee worked nonetheless and was available every morning. The mattress was a bit soft, but there were plentiful excellent pillows.

Great location, nice pool, common spaces very comfortable, lovely breakfast.

had to ask for tissue toilet to low to the floor no door to the bathroom could use a small table and chairs instead of large jacuzzi in the BR floors uneven tv was minuscule not enough parking

Beautiful property, convenient location, great breakfast.

Historical hotel filled with well cared for antiques, mainly furniture. What was not nice was the lack of a door between bedroom and bathroom (though plenty of space to put one), so no separation and no possibility of one person using the bathroom at night without disturbing the other. Not really up to standard in the $300+ price category. Also, breakfast on the skinny side.

Hotel was like a B&B, nice breakfast Small TV which i couldn't figure out the remote. Very pricey for the tiny room but great location. Can walk to everything.
