Motel 6 Putnam CT

Consistently OK. Small improvements are being made but this is a dated, basic place to stay. Linens are clean, towels clean but thin, soap but no shampoo, clean but in need of better quality repair and paint. Very dog friendly. Coffee occasionally available. Convenient to highway, shopping, decent eating.

The room was clean. The hallways definitely smelled of smoking.

The front desk folks were great with service and very nice. Needed an iron and ironing board, and staff delivered to my door. Room was clean and had all basics that i needed except for shampoo. I asked front desk to message housekeeping about vacuuming the bathroom air vent. Perfect location for accessing my events and for convenience. This is a “budget” motel and it worked just fine for me. Thank you.

Well worth for what I needed

Cannot believe that the room heater was turned off when I checked in. Room temp was 52 degrees when we arrived at 8pm, and it took until 1am before it finally reached the set point of 68. Likewise, the baseboard heater in the bathrooms are not hooked up. I asked for a different room, but conditions were identical, heater was off, and the bathroom heater was fake.

It was your typical rundown motel

No idea how people give this such great reviews. Like did we stay at the same place? Got there at 11pm exhausted ready to shower and bed. Floor was sticky at entry and the light switch near the door did nothing. Once I turned the room lights on using my phone flashlight I saw a sign on the entry light switch saying not to touch. Shower was super tiny (no tub as stated in description) and zero toiletries available (also stated there would be). Bed was actually super comfy too bad between a dog barking a few rooms down and the drunks in the hall it wasn’t quite till 2 am. Go to check out and grab coffee. Surprise no coffee. The pot was broken. All and all it was a motel but for the price I paid I expected at least what was advertised

Room were clean, staff is friendly but the parking lot was icy from recent snow fall. Other than that everything was excellent.

Extreme basics. No lamp in room. Heat/AC off until room occupied. No USB jacks. Only 2 vending machines. Sleep & Go!

Very good stay.
