We stayed in a suite with a fabulous view and I do mean fabulous! We had a bathtub with a hand held shower nozzle. The room was great and they helped get our luggage to our room. The staff was courteous and gave us great recommendations on places to eat dinner.

Our stay in Cortona at the San Michele Hotel was fabulous. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating; the rooms were historical and cozy; and the complimentary breakfasts were feasts. We felt like “locals” by the time we left a week later.

This is a nice hotel near the center of town. A big potential advantage is the ability to drive directly to the hotel front door, although the property does charge for car parking. The building shows its older charm, with some large graceful sitting areas. The breakfast was fantastic. My room was larger than I had expected and had a couple windows, with some minor views just above the surrounding rooftops.

Booking.com showed free parking, which is not the case. However, there is street parking if you're willing to walk downhill a 2-3 blocks, which is what I ended up doing.
