Ecoxata - Adults Only

Ecoxata es un hotel paradisiaco, tiene diferentes ambientes que te mantienen siempre con ganas de conocer más. El servicio de Leo y Junior es genial. Todos son 10 de 10. Un lugar al que sin duda alguna volveré.

Beautiful concept, decoration and atmosphere, nice small pool and the beach felt almost like it was private. The staff (especially the kitchen staff and waitresses) was absolutely amazing, very attentive, friendly and always attentive to our needs.

1. The hotel is advertised as an adult only hotel, but actually we saw a few older children/teenagers. 2. The beach bar plays very loud music all day long until 11 pm-12 am and we were in one of the the rooms right besides the bar, so it was very annoying. We find this contradictory with the policy forbidding the use of personal speakers (which we agree with). Again, the hotel advertises it is a place to relax and for most of the day that was not possible. 3. The food at the restaurant was in general good, but several items of the menu were not available at a given time for various reasons. Also, this is a luxury boutique hotel, small details like serving fresh squeeze orange juice (instead of bottled juice), good quality breads, keep the fruit cool and fresh, etc, are pretty basic things. 4. Lastly, during the almost five days we stayed, they play the same playlist all day long (mostly Bob Marley’s songs and American music). Colombia is so rich musically that we found this very intriguing… we felt we were at a Caribbean resort trying to keep only foreign tourists happy!

Exquisite stay, exquisite food, wonderful staff. All in all well worth the price.
