The Inn At English Meadows

The breakfast was not only pleasing to look at it was delicious too.

This Inn is super charming. I adore farmhouses, and this place was not only cozy, but very well decorated. Felt like home from the minute we stepped in. Very quiet and quaint. The gardens were lovely, beautiful flowers, teal bicycles and Adirondack chairs. Best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time. The bed was dressed with cushy soft linens, a pillow top mattress and down comforter. The freshly baked mint/chocolate chip cookies in the living room were so delicious. Both Carmen, the manager, and Diane the property owner were simply delightful. We really loved when the owner sat down with us at breakfast, just like an old friend that we already knew. A fantastic breakfast was served to us in courses, starting with a yogurt parfait topped with cinnamon granola and fresh fruit. The main course was a super delicious French toast topped with a wild blueberry compote, served with sausage links. The coffee was amazing. I feel quite certain we will return to the Inn at English meadows, but for us, it won’t be soon enough.

Lovely Inn. Beautiful rooms, bedroom and common areas. Gracious Hosts. Delicious breakfast on terrace. Exceptional attention to detail. We will return!

When we arrived, we were greeted by the inn keeper to show us around. She could not have been nicer. We had warm cookies and some wine. Breakfast the next day was absolutely delicious. It included a warm apple compote, blueberry French toast, and local sausage. The chef even accommodated my dairy allergy. Everyone in the breakfast room was raving about the food!

Our room was hot, like really hot. When we tried to adjust the temperature, the bathroom got cool but our room stayed at what felt like a sauna for the entire night. We slept on top of the covers. We thought about opening the windows but there was an air conditioner in the window and it was 22 degrees outside.
