Amethyst Inn at Regents Park

The beauty, the history, location, large guest room, kind staff and very good breakfast

The bathroom has a narrow footed bathtub which could be difficult for some to get in and out of. The bed creaks a lot with movement which is expected being an antique, however it did cause some loss of sleep.

The staff member was exceptionally helpful and professional. She was most helpful with extra information and knowledge of the area sites and amenities nearby..

Expensive...but isn't everything these days.

It is absolutely gorgeous, staff is very friendly.

No shower but there is a tub. If you don’t want walk up to many stairs be sure to book on the second floor.

I like the Victorian character and details as well as the fabulous breakfasts. I didn’t need to eat again until the evening!!

Abeautiful but aging facility. Good breakfast, the house is absolutely filled with history and beauty. But it must be very difficult and very difficult to keep up with an ancient wooden structure. It's comfy, but not soundproof. The inside woodwork is outstanding. We enjoyed our stay.

Where to start, from the grand entrance with double staircase to 2nd floor. To the magnificent light fixtures, antique furniture throughout; the dining room and front sitting lounge on main floor was formal and elegant. There's a sidebar for coffee and tea at your leisure, and more historical material of the original home. We stayed in the Regency room on 3rd floor (sorry, no elevator) was HUGE, grand king bed, spacious, nicely appointed with antique furniture and cozy sitting area with fireplace.. Every room has a 2-person Jacuzzi bath tub. And then there was the most substantial yummiest 3-course breakfast! Cooked perfectly by the owner and served by the nicest host/manager! Top it off with ample parking, good location, on a bus route, but quiet enough to sleep in... but don't dare miss the breakfast time!

Hmmm, I miss having a regular shower.

Loved our room! Very comfortable and big

This bed and breakfast is conveniently located along a few bus routes from downtown Victoria; very convenient. Also walkable since it is mostly downhill or level ground along Fort Street. Returning to the Inn would necessitate some uphill climb, but doable if one is fairly mobile, and not raining cats and dogs :) The breakfast provided was exceptional. It used to have two options to choose from, but this time, there was only one, still very good. Definitely amongst the best we’ve had in a lot of B&Bs. Staff was very warm and welcoming as well.
