Hotel Villa Caletas

Excellent stay.

This is a five star hotel in my book. The property is beautiful, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the food and service at the restaurant are top notch. We celebrated our anniversary there and moved tables twice. Once we moved away from a table with small children that was noisy. Then we moved again to be inside. Once inside the temp was still warm so they turned on the AC for us. There only concern was our comfort and experience at their hotel. Hotels of comparable price, in the states would never do this. It was an amazing stay and we plan to return there for a longer stay for our 10th anniversary.

One night. Very comfortable. Lovely service at check in, bar and dinner. Food high quality. Although price at higher end, definitely better value than other places we stayed for similar or higher price. Highly recommend if you are looking in this price range.

Hotel Villa Caletas is in an incredible location with amazing views. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We ended up shortening to 5 of originally booked 6 days because the hotel had some shortfalls: the overall look-and-feel is of a place that is decaying and requiring maintenance; not as many options for food; the location by the "beach" is beautiful but not properly a beach, and in urgent need of care; one night, there was no warm water (it seems it has a dependency on the air conditioner to stay on to warm up the water); the toilet has a water leak as well as the faucets; the small fridge was very noisy at night; despite staying in the top "Superior Junior Suite", we were not impressed.

This hotel is in decline. the first night we ordered room service and the meals came an hour later and my food had little ants crawling on it. I called the restaurant and they said “No, that is the black wild rice in the meal” I said “We’ll, my rice learned to walk then.” The jacuzzi had most of the control buttons broken, out of date outlets that were hard to plug into, old light fixtures in the rooms etc. The views are amazing but the hotel is just run down and needs some attention.

The most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Everything is 5 star except the food. That gets a 4 star.
