Amazing views in a beautiful tranquil environment. It was a lovely place to spend time. The gardens were well maintained. There were cool breezes on top of hill. Great games facilities. Super swimming pool. Well equipped kitchens. Good indoor and outdoor eating. Tuscan villas were very responsive.

The route to the house is 6km up a VERY narrow road - at some points in the hamlet the road is cm wider than our cars . The last km of road after Ruota is unmade. You should be aware of this when you book and only hire a small car. We chose not to go out for dinner as we did not want to navigate this road in the dark. We are all agreed that had we known about the challenging road we would have looked to stay somewhere nearer Lucca. The three bathrooms are all good but not evenly located by the bedrooms.The boiler only allows for one person to shower at a time.
