Apartments Marmont

Fantastic location.. excellent air con .quiet in room even though busy outside very spacious . restaurants bars supermarket nearby

We spent 3 nights at Apartments Marmont. The apartment is right in the centre of the main street and very close to the Riva promenade area and the catamarans, ferries, etc. Location is absolutely a 5/5! Neven was super helpful and responsive with all our many questions even before we arrived. His wife gave us so many good tips about the area, the restaurants, and possible day trips. We ended up spending half a day visiting Trogir based on her recommendations and it was a wonderful day there! The apartment was clean and really spacious, with a lovely sitting area and kitchen area. The balcony is lovely too! We really appreciated the washing machine and there was a drying rack to use. The only caution I would have is for anyone with some mobility issues. The apartment is on the 3rd floor, and for North Americans, this really means the 4th floor because in Europe, they have ground, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Since the ground floor is the 1st floor in North America, this means the apartment is on the 4th floor. There are 2 full flights of stairs to get to each floor, so there's a lot of climbing up and down. There's no elevator in the building. The stairs are very well-maintained and not high. However, if you have some mobility problems it would be really challenging. Also if you have really large and heavy luggage, it is a long way up and down. This is a caution and nothing to do with the apartment itself. I would give the apartment 5 stars!

Location was excellent, only a short walk to almost everything in the city centre. A very nice balcony. Good double glazing, very good self catering facilities and very comfortable beds.

Shower cubicle very small. Several lights didn't work (but there were enough to light all areas). While we were fine with a strong smell of cooking meat from downstairs, vegetarians might not be.

Not enough light. Fixtures missing lightbulbs. No table lamps either, so hard to read.

I really appreciated the apartment had lots of space it was very clean and me and my fiance really enjoyed sitting on the balcony having a drink with a nice view of split.. Also the host anela was very friendly really helpful and even arranged a taxi for the airport when we was leaving you could not ask for more we really enjoyed our holiday and the place we stayed made it even better with everything really close by it literally takes you 2 minutes to get into town everything pretty much on your doorstep. Also the place has got air conditioning which helped at times. I thought being a central location it would be quite noisy at night but it really wasn't the walls on the apartment must be quite thick because we really didn't hear anything outside and never disturbed my sleep.

I really couldn't say I didn't like anything everything was as listed.

Cleverly designed to make the most of the limited space available, the one-bedroom flat was immaculately presented, tastefully decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Every home comfort was provided, including a very comfortable bed, a large-screen television in both bedroom and living room with an amazing range of English-language channels, plenty of hanging space with hangers in the hall wardrobe, a furnished outdoor balcony with table and chairs, all the kitchen utensils needed for cooking, a non-slip mat for the shower and a generous supply of towels, toilet rolls and toiletries. The generosity of the hosts extended to a welcome gift in the form of canned flavoured beer and a bottle of champagne!

In the absence of a lift in the building, the climb of 88 steps to the third floor was made easier by the design of the staircase, with low, wide stairs and a sturdy handrail. The only hiccup was faulty cable service to the living room TV, which was speedily resolved.
