"Exuburance in rural Portugal."

This former convent is a chip above the rest! Many of the former inhabitants had forsaken their vow of poverty in order to be accompanied by their servants! And the spaciousness is revealing. All in all, a Heaven upon earth. it exudes luxury and architectural beauty and utility. Magnificant grounds populated by specimen shrubs and trees, set in a remote but delightful part of rural Portugal. Staff naturally mannerly and informed. Dinner reasonably priced and consisted of local produce with good wines. Breakfast adequate.

The location of the hotel was perfect right next door to a beautiful palace. The facilities and the rooms were excellent and the staff were very helpful at all times.
