Robert's Grove Península Resort

Our family of four LOVED our stay at Roberts Grove. We had a beautiful room, with a separate room with bunk beds for the kids. Huge room, private deck with hammock, chairs and table. Overlooking the gorgeous beach. The sand is powdery soft, swimming is great in the pools and ocean. The staff is great and will really take care of everything for you. All you need to do is show up! They’ll arrange tours, rides all you do is relax! We really enjoyed it. Breakfast was included each day, and the prices at habanero restaurant can’t be beat. Great food, big portions, excellent prices. Resort is beautiful, don’t let a few of the reviews that call it “run-down” scare you. Yes, it’s older, but it is well taken care of. Not a fancy place, feels more like home! I really can’t say enough good things about it. I would definitely recommend it, especially the family room if traveling with kids. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Dated facilities but very nice staff. Very helpful. WiFi not the best but pools are very nice. Could use some updates and have the bars open by the pools.

Location and price . Staff was excellent and the food was good. Everything we were looking for in a short trip. Shout out to Benidicto for taking care of our needs and to Raina for giving us World Class massages.

The room we had was beautiful; very spacious, clean and the Panamanian style was lovely. I also liked having a screendoor on both the front and back. Bathroom was really large and the walk-in shower was huge, and had a laundry line within it, very helpful. The bathroom also had a bar fridge under the sink which was really helpful. Loads of TV stations. WiFi within the room was not great, but it was good within the restaurant/lobby area. My daughter and both enjoyed the pools, but the one nearest the lobby, and the one furthest the lobby, weren't as clean as they should be (were sort of murky). The one in the middle was much cleaner, but highly chlorinated as well - you could smell it as soon as you got into the pool. It turned all my silver rings grey. The restaurant had good food, but no kids menu, why on earth not? The servings were enormous and too big for one adult and one child, so we learned to order accordingly (one item split between us both). The breakfast buffet was small - not too much selection, but were were there in low season, maybe it is larger in high season? but tasty. The shuttle to town is appreciated, as it's a long way.

We had an medical emergency and had to cut out trip short (we were going on a sailing trip) but we could not get a flight out so we had to stay one extra night. I booked the extra night via Hotels.com and just picked the lowest price. We had a ocean view room and they said we had to move because I booked a garden view room or pay an extra amount. Under the circumstance it would have been nice not to pay more or move but we had to pay. The hotel was not full at all in fact the front desk said only about 1/4 full. I then had to print out some documents for the Dr to fill out who came to see us and they wanted .50 a page. The hotel is ok...3.5 star. Food was good... Not fantastic... Included breakfast also not great. Should have more fruit and more choices very limited.Hot tea included Ice tea extra. View is beautiful but the beach not very swimable due to sea weed...Nice pools but two of the three cloudy. Resort needs building updates... The grounds are kept up nicely

Great resort with prime location! The personnel was very nice and helpful too. Clean facilities, well maintained pools and yummy food. Will definitely come back again :).

Everyone at Robert’s Grove diligently and honorably remembered our first names and addressed us as, “Miss .... or Mr. ...” It revealed honor, integrity, and respect. More specifically, the staff went out of their way to assist us and to ENSURE that they could address us respectfully during times requiring assistance. I fully recognize and understand this resort’s attention to politeness, details, manners, and respect!

Amenities should be updated, there are no more sail boats at the resort. Kayaks were great!

Rustic, comfortable and friendly. If you're looking for somewhere with lot's of activities like volleyball, shuffleboard, swim up bars and such you will want to look elsewhere. But if you want a home base that's comfortable with a staff that goes out of their way to make your stay good along with two solid restaurants I would recommend Robert's Grove. There are several room choices, I recommend the rooms with vaulted ceilings. Makes a HUGE difference! Three pools, all different to themselves. The beach is on the smaller side but the location is close enough to everything that makes this a good choice. Lastly I highly recommend getting a golf cart for getting around. Well worth it. Use Captain Jacks. Have the best carts and service. And for excursions, just the Robert's arrange everything for you, just relax.
