Hotel 115 Christchurch

This was a lovely hotel that was located downtown where we could walk to the botanical gardens, shops and restaurants. Even though they don’t have a 24/hr check in desk, they have an easy process to come in after hours. Rooms are nice with a boutique feel. In our room we had stairs and had 2 steps outside our door. If stairs are a concern for you, you may want to check with desk. FYI: A sight seeing tram stops right outside the hotel doors which you may hear at times but it wasn’t a concern for us.

Lovely hotel and just next to tram office and stop one on the tour. Beds so comfy!

Check in and out was very easy. Receptionists were knowledgeable and kind.. Especially the young woman who helped with directions and allowed an earlier check in. Cool area. Easy walking distance to most everything in central area. I felt safe and relaxed.

Little did we know we were at the hub of the trolley line with the convenience of the business on the ground floor. Our room & the hotel were nicely decorated & offered simple comforts. The bed was a delight & comfortable. Our room was quiet. The central location of Hotel 115 couldn’t be much better. After taking the trolley once or twice we realized we could walk almost everywhere from 115…and we did.!. We loved the ambience of Hotel 115 and the surrounding neighborhood.

Location and staff

Way over priced for what was an upmarket hostel room with no air con , few bathroom goods, and no restaurant or food of any kind. Perfect location right in central Christchurch. As we had to keep the window open we experienced the street noise!

Cute boutique hotel right in Cathedral Junction. It is right next to the trolley line but it’s not loud. They do have access to a pool and sauna in the hotel across the street but the front desk won’t necessarily remember to tell you about it or how to get there unless you ask. I would stay here again.

Great stay! Very friendly staff. Gym and sauna not on site, but across the street. It was loud at night with neighboring bars.
