Lost Iguana Resort and Spa

Staff was really friendly, and the resort was beautiful

Secure place, beautiful views, clean facilities. Perhaps for improvement more options for dinning and breakfast replenishment. Expensive food.

Beautiful resort. Wish we had stayed longer. Staff everywhere were extremely friendly. We had a a 2nd floor deluxe room which faced the volcano but was partially obscured by a tree. No big deal. Still an amazing view. Food at the restaurant was very good but there wasn't much Costa Rican variety. Pool and the bar were great. My only issue was that they wouldnt exchange any US currency to Costa Rican. Also keep in mind that this resort is about a 20 minute drive from La Fortuna.

We really enjoyed our stay. The resort is really beautiful. Amazing views. The property is really wonderful. The food was definitely not at the same caliber as the resort. That was disappointing. In our room we could hear every single word being spoken next door. Not very pleasant.

We had the most awesome view of Mt Arenal!! We were out in the jungle and the birds abounded!! It was a steep walk to our room, but there were golf cart or shuttle transport to wherever you wanted to go on the property. Our massage was awesome as well and we loved the hot pool and bar!!

Great stay, but the room had a restricted view of Arenal which was quite different to the photos on hotels.com It was still a fantastic stay and the heated pool and bar was a highlight

The staff was so friendly and helpful! This was a great location outside of La Fortuna but close to many attractions.

We loved our stay at Lost Iguana!! ALL of the staff were very helpful, friendly and responsive. The resort was beautiful with a hiking trail and other activities. The room was fantastic with a private patio and super cool outdoor shower. We will definitely be back!

I would give this the Lost Iguana 6 stars. From the moment we got there (yes it’s a 3 hour drive from Liberia) but it’s gorgeous. The rooms, the staff, the garden oasis, views of the jungle, restaurant and pool are all amazing. Calling out Jordan, Damian, and the bartenders for being so great. We stayed three nights. Nearby attractions include Mystic Bridges and within 30 minutes drive was La Fortuna and many hot springs. We would highly recommend this hotel.
