What a pleasant surprise. Property has has a total updating not just a "freshing up". Pool crystal clear, big rooms, all the amenities. Had been staying 35 miles away in Brownfield - this will be my new stop on the way to New Mexico.

I am in my fourth week at the Shiloh this summer, 2024. I have stayed here many times on single night travel over the years and decades. The experience has always been good. The is a place with friendly staff, good facilities, nice rooms for hard working folks who want a good nights rest or a weary travelor. A new convenience store, very nice, good gas prices, and always has washer solution and good squegees for windows, is just a minute or slightly more down the road to the north. McDonalds, Taco Bell, etc... are a few minutes or less the opposite direction. A grocery store is less than 2 minutes. The best breakfast burritos is several minutes south at Daddios. The parking lot is good condition, the pool area is landscaped and pretty, the desks, lights, and mattress are good to excellent. The A/C works well, call them and have them turn it on for you to cool the room. The manager/owner has been good to get to know. Hardworking like the rest of us. The restaurant that is at the front did not make it through Covid unfortunately. The hot water is hot and the cold water is cold. Get your drinking water from the office, Lamesa has a sodium twang to the water. Makes good coffee though. Smooths out the rough edges. I have travelled to the area to work for 20 crop seasons. This is my new home weekly, as long as I come, yearly. I am sitting in a good chair to rest my back and legs instead of an uncomfortable chair or love seat. That is worth a lot. Jt
