The Cliffs at Peace Canyon

As with most stays, the staff set the tone , and walking into the lobby I was greeted by a team with a level of 5 star excellence. I felt like I was visiting a luxury style apartment complex, and I mean that in a good way: a large full kitchen, dining area, living room, closet room, 2 full bathrooms, and parking outside the door. The pool and lounge area were clean and lively. If we didn’t have a newborn baby, my wife and I would have for sure been hanging out at the communal fire pit each night by the pool.

There were a few burned out light bulbs, a couple power outlets that didn’t work, and a lampshade or two that had needed to be replaced. The gym was small and didn’t have much equipment.

Comfortable room, very well equipped kitchen, beds large and of good quality The garden very nice, pool and clean and warm. The fitnes room well equipped. Everything clean, perfection all around.

There was nothing I could complain about.

Our two bedroom unit was spacious. It had a full kitchen, washer/dryer, small patio and was great for us to share with our adult children and their 22 and 7 month year olds. The babies had fun at the pool. The location was great to get to Red Rock Canyon and Calico Basin conservation areas. A quick drive from the Las Vegas airport. Parking available. Just know that you are renting a condo, this is not really a resort. This worked fine for us. We were there to play with grandkids and access the conservation areas.

Check in was fine, but what looks like a concierge's desk is really just a place for people marketing another "Clliffs Resort". Not really a problem, but after you check in at the registration desk you are still required to go to the "Resort" desk to get parking passes and information about the property. After an early morning departure, 2 hour shuttle to our airport, 4 hr flight, shuttle to the car rental area, renting a car and drive to the Cliffs, we really just wanted to check in to our room. The LA family had also driven 4 plus hours through the desert with very young kids and getting into the room was a much higher priority than listening to what free shows they had to offer if we were willing to spend a few hours at their promo. So do a quick pass of that desk, grab your parking passes and resort activity sheet. The resort offers bingo, beading, trivia .... more camp or senior center. The condo does not include a cleaning service. Bring your own trash bags, washing detergent, dish soap if you plan to stay more than two days. One night around 4:00 am, people at the unit above us arrived. They needed to climb concrete steps to enter their unit. It sounded like a heard of hippos going in and out and all over with lots of slamming doors. You really have to work hard to make that much noise in a concrete/tile building.

We are repeat guests and this is our go to home away from home. The unit is spacious and clean. The grounds are immaculate. The pool and hot tub is resort-style. Staff always friendly and helpful
