Super friendly staff and great Manager who was really welcoming. Loved our room which was huge and had great facililities in it. WIFI was excellent. Breakfast was delicious. Can not fault our stay.

The rooms are beautifully put together very comfortable setup and decor

The management is terrible. I go there often and it is always a fight to get what we need. This used to be our go to place as we are in white river monthly but with the way things are being managed it is not guest friendly. Basic requirements are not met. We used to get cappuccinos in our room this is no longer a possibility. Breakfast for kids before school is not possible and indeed charged extra if early despite it being a d b&b charge. It's very disappointing. We have found a new place to frequent close to uplands

Fantastic experience. We were shocked at how nice the lodge was, from the moment we entered you could tell someone really loves this lodge. The attention to detail is excellent, from the room layout to the menu. The staff are well trained and very welcoming. The gardens are incredibly beautiful and immaculate. We would recommend this for a weekend away, it is so relaxing.

We had an amazing stay at Monkey Thorn Lodge. From the moment we arrived it was really good. The manager and his staff were tops and looked after us really well. There is nothing you could fault. We sat on the veranda at sunset enjoying cocktails followed by a lovely meal. The beds are the best and our suite was very private. My wife loved the gardens and bird watching. We can highly recommend this establishment and will be back next year for longer.

The accommodation was excellent, spotless clean, fantastic room facilities and the main lodge building was charming and a lot of care and attention has been given to make it so stylish and comfortable. The staff were very well trained and very friendly. The food was excellent with plenty of choices and all home cooked. This is an excellent place and next time we will stay longer.
