Fidalgo Country Inn

We liked the atmosphere of the hotel, kind of cute country hotel with a lot of flowers around, the location is good, close to the restaurant that gives you 10% off because you are staying at this hotel. The swimming pool was nice, but we were able to use it once. Next day we came back and it was locked. The hot tub was locked during the whole stay.

We were able to use the swimming pool once, the hot tub was locked during the whole stay. The bathrooms were small and had a tight fit between the toilet and the shower. We did have only one towel in the room when we arrived. The dresser was falling apart, had a large door that had a broken hinge.

I figured it’d be noisy being on the highway, but that’s ok, the motorcycles going by were obnoxious — but you’re on a highway! the check in was great— the guy working was friendly and efficient and confirmed we had the right idea for dinner— even gave us menu hints!! We loved the fact we were placed opposite the highway 20, so that DID help with the noise— the AC worked really well (in a hot spell right now) and the shower was hot and strong— we even asked for extra towels so we could shower twice!! bed was comfy—

Great budget stay. Was quiet and clean with an easy check in.

Beds were uncomfortable and the hallways smelled funky but the amenities were nice, particularly the pool and spa. Very family friendly. Close to downtown anacortes and the ferry. Nice time.

Our stay went smoothly. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a brewery (Bastion) just up the road with good beer and a really good brisket sandwich. Easy to get into Anacortes and to Whidbey Island. There was definitely some road noise, as the hotel is at a major intersection. The whole place needs a good deep cleaning and refurbishment; it was a little dingy, and some things (hair dryer, inside door latch) were broken.

The hotel was clean and the hot tub was brand new. Super clean as well as the whole Pool Area. Restaurant was close and food awesome People lots of fun!
