When we got to the Greenbrier Inn, check-in went well. The owner at the front desk was very pleasant showed us to our room. My daughter noticed a stuffed bear up in the corner by the door aimed toward the beds. It kind of gave her bad vibes, so I moved it to the other side of the shelf with its face, pointing the wall where it could not be seen from the beds. We then left to head to an area event that we had tickets to when we returned to our room about 10:30 that night the door to our room was a jar, not shut tight you could see in the room and the bear was put back to its original place when we first got to the room it scared my daughters and it was a bit, alarming to me as well! I took the bear and I stuck it outside of the room and we locked the doors! I did not sleep the entire night! There was no reason for any of the staff to enter our room after check-in that is a complete invasion of privacy and a bit creepy to be honest with the bear and all! I did bring it to the owners attention first thing in the morning, and he gave me some excuse about a relative doing night checks, I didn’t buy that for one second! When you rent a hotel room, the staff does not do night checks and if they do it’s really odd! Once you book a hotel room and check-in there’s no reason for staff to come into your room without your knowledge unless you request turn down service. All I know is when I left. I double checked the door and it was locked and we will never stay there again.

A cozy, nicely decorated, and unique accomodation that was adjacent to both Killington and Pico ski resorts. The rooms and amenities were slightly outdated but they were clean and functional. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The large gift shop had a tasteful selection of items.

The price reflected an upmarket stay. I prefer to avoid writing poor reviews but I feel guests should know the fair understanding of the property. The lodgings desk was unattended but staff in the gift shop were attentive and very friendly and showed me to my room. The morning staff member at breakfast was also friendly. The pool advertised was half full and out of use. The room’s linens and towels were clean and comfortable. However, the toilet was heavily stained. The water was undrinkable. Bottled water was available in the dining room which I used instead. The fridge was hot and didn’t cool at all during my stay and I threw food out. Ice was available and I attempted to cool the fridge with it to no avail. The remote control did not operate the TV, irrespective of what button was pressed. The remote wasn’t flat as a light lit up but nothing changed on the TV itself. The price is more than a fully self contained suite for two nights in Burlington. The lodge itself is dated and could use renovation.
