Ce petit hotel se situe en dehors de Incha Kala, la vieille ville mais à peine à 100m, ce qui vous fera payer l'entrée. Mais il est tout à fait charmant : c'est une ancienne medersa, donc attention : pas de vue dans la chambre : ce sont d'anciennes célulles d'études et peu fonctionnelles aussi : la encore, ces chambres sont historiques. mais rien de tout cela n'empêche un très beau séjour. Notre hôtesse Kadicha nous avons beaucoup aidées et c'était un bonheur de voir son sourire chaque matin.

Une madrasa historique transformée en hôtel de charme. Calme absolu car en zone piétonne juste à l’extérieur des remparts (Porte Est). Personnel compétent et très accueillant. Grand choix de thés en vrac au petit déjeuner

The Madrassa is a wonderfully atmospheric and very convenient place to stay within about 5 minutes of the Ichan Qala East Gate. As a former madrassa, most rooms don't have windows but look out onto a lovely interior courtyard. We had a 'family room' which had an exterior facing window and entrance into the main courtyard. This was a lovely place for breakfast and sitting out in the evenings. The staff were both pleasant and very helpful. As a bonus, it has its own minaret which can be climbed for a great city view. Recommended.

Minor points, but the room shape was a little awkward - long and thin - which given a double and a single bed as a family room - meant a lack of wardrobe (clothes hanger only). We'd also have preferred to have a safe in the room.

Boutique hotel ricavato in una vecchia madrasa. La location risulta quindi interessante e tipica. Posizione comoda appena fuori di una delle porte di Khiva, facile da raggiungere in auto e comunque vicina ai posti da visitare; il centro di Khiva si attraversa in meno di mezz'ora. Staff disponibile a dare supporto. Ci hanno cambiato la camera perché la prima risultava davvero poco illuminata. Prezzo in linea alle altre strutture dello stesso livello (75 euro totali a notte per una doppia). La camera aveva tutto l'occorrente per un breve soggiorno. Bellissimo giardino nel mezzo della madrasa e con intorno l'ingresso di tutte le stanze, giardino dove è possibile riposare e trovare pace. Molto carina anche la location della colazione nella vecchia Moschea e con sedute nella corte di ingresso in esterna ai piedi del vecchio minareto.

Le camere per conformazione tipica delle madrase risulta poco illuminata perché in tutte le stanze affacciate al giardino l'unico spiraglio di luce arriva da una piccola finestra sopra la porta di ingresso. Bagno senza finestre. Colazione in stile turco abbastanza scarsa per i gusti di noi europei. Poche alternative dolci e non di estrema qualità. Camere non particolarmente spaziose e in linea a quelli che erano gli spazi nelle camere della madrasa con i suoi pro e contro. Pagamento possibile solo in contanti, come in molti altri guest house o boutique hotel in Uzbekistan.

I liked the simplicity of the hotel, in line with its madrasah origins, but people looking for a modern hotel would perhaps miss some facilities
