Baymont by Wyndham Socorro

The air conditioner was on and it was VERY cold in the room when we arrived.

Good value. Not bad for the price. Socorro original that has been nicely renovated. The rooms were very clean. The property could use some attention.

Signage. Drove right past it a couple of times.

It was clean. It allowed pets. Bed was comfortable.

Old motel added to Baymont name, which I expected a better quality hotel. There was no coffee for my husband ready at 5 and he had to walk across the street to a convenience store. At 6:30am there was no breakfast ready, although was supposed to start at 6. One of the filters I had was to provide breakfast which we did not get. The outlets, wall hair dryer were falling out of the wall. Facility was old and the remodel was done shoddily.

It is an old motel that clearly is being upgraded. The bathroom was very old with black substance in grout , tub very worn, and cleanliness was not great . I suspect they don’t cleanse their mop with clean fresh water as my socks were black after walking on floor. The security bolt came out of the doorframe and clearly was not installed securely. The remote for the TV and other things like coffee pot maker, tissue dispenser clearly are not wiped down on regular basis as they were filthy. What appeared to be blood stain on bed cover. Breakfast is very limited - continental primarily.

The exterior and surroundings were disgusting. I felt very unsafe there as there were trashy people living there. I would not have gone outside after dark to walk my dog. The was garbage all around old had grills and cigarette butts. Renting to subsidized housing people.

The room was clean.

The outside area needed to be cleaned up. Breakfast area tables were not cleaned, had no spoons for cereal or yogurt, poor and not enough items of food at 7 am and no one at desk to get items. Offered a place to do own laundry and room was really was dirty.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was good, near the interstate, restaurants and stores.

The bathroom floor appeared to be very dirty. There wasn’t much soundproofing. My neighbors were pretty considerate, but if they made any noise as they were leaving, the noise came straight through into my room and woke me up.
