Antony Hotel

Clean hotel, great food, staff were OK, beds not good. Good breakfast . Not to see near hotel and there is not shopping area around the hotel

We have stayed in this hotel before, the hotel has very comfortable rooms, with air conditioning, the breakfast has a wide selection, and the restaurant in the evening serves excellent food at very competitive prices. On this occasion we drove down and there's more than enough free parking to the rear of the hotel. We would certainly use this hotel again

We stayed at this property both initially on our trip and at the end of our trip. Our initial room was in good condition and we enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, at the end of our trip, the room we were provided was poorly designed and the door into the room and the door into the bathroom did not function well. The bathroom was very cramped and access to the shower was poor.

We liked the breakfast a lot. Also the fact that it is close to the airport. Staff were friendly. Our bedroom was ok, but it lacked a bit more of maintenance, needed a fresh paint (some dirt on the walls).

The included breakfast was much larger than we expected, lots of options.

I rarely leave reviews but figured this might help fellow travelers since the gap between an average review and my experience was so wide. We passed through Venice during our family vacation. Since we had a car and stayed for only 2 nights, it was easier to get something on the mainland and take public transport into the old town. My expectectations were low and the reviews were good enough to book. The hotel itself is pretty rundown and the musty smell, common all over Venice, was present here as well. When we checked into our room, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting (see pictures). Mold everywhere. We asked for another room and it was the same. Since we traveled as a group with two other families, we checked with them as well and one family had the same experience. As they told me, "we tried not to touch the walls when showering." Since it was late, our kids were exhausted, we ended up staying vs trying to book something else last minute for 2x the rate. Very disappointing. Will never stay here again and would advise others to stay away.

Nice property

Good location! A bus ride away from Venice! Property is not 4 stars! 25 years ago, maybe. Carpet is worn out, looks old and makes it look dirty. Bathroom had mold in shower and ceiling. Found a huge spider one night. Didn’t fill the shampoo at our check in. Took them two days and me telling them. Breakfast was good. Coffee and juice from a machine don’t make them look fresh. Since i Paid through expedia, property did nothing. Expedia should verify properties before contracting with them.

I never write a review, but I feel so strongly about this hotel I have to! Stayed here for one night before our early flight the next day with two small children. Initially we thought it was great, powerful air con, big rooms….until we came back from a few hours in venice and found ants crawling over our pastries we’d just bought back…. Turns out there was a nest somewhere under the desk and LOTS of dead ants on the carpet. Went down to tell reception and they couldn’t care less. Not even a sorry. Changed our room, the new room was better but still quite dirty if you looked closely and the bathroom door was completely broken. If the staff would’ve been apologetic I probably wouldn’t have written this review. Don’t stay here at all!!! Had a much better experience on our first night in a small guest house closer to the airport.

Perfectly adequate hotel that doesn’t try to be more than perfectly adequate. It’s an airport hotel and makes no effort to be more than basic. Room was comfortable. Staff was nice. AC worked. Shower did not work (and desk staff didn’t care nor try to remedy). The rate is bare bones but then everything else costs money - the shuttle, the breakfast. We had an early morning departure and they did arrange a taxi transfer since the shuttle wasn’t running yet. Taxi rate quoted was $25-$30e for both of us (for a 5 minute drive) then taxi arrived and quoted us $25e each and the rate dropped progressively when we showed our discomfort. It also turned out to be a group taxi - no problem with that but why not explain that in advance? Advice - just go in with your eyes open and don’t have much in way of expectation.
