Hotel Rifugio Prategiano

The location is lovely with wonderful views the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The owners wife collected us from Follonica train station which is a 45 minute drive from the hotel and was very chatty and gave us lots of information. The hotel is family run and near their stable. We were there for a wedding and they provided a shuttle to and from the venue for three days, even with a 1am finish. The hotel is quite basic and is mainly used for horse riding but the rooms are clean and comfortable and all the staff are so nice and friendly.

Posto immerso nel verde ,struttura molto pulita personale molto gentile e disponibile !!Alessio e Mei hanno portato le mie figlie a passeggio con i cavalli, sono stati super carini e disponibilissimi ad ogni nostra esigenza ,veramente eccezionali grazie !!Ho apprezzato la colazione (all 'italiana) con dolci fatti in casa molto buoni!

Breakfast great and location fantastic.

Agriturismo situato nella tranquillità e nella natura dell'alta maremma toscana: strutture rustiche e adattate al contesto rurale. La struttura principale è quella che colpisce maggiormente in fatto di cure e dettagli, dal salone al ristorante, interno e su balconata con vista stupenda. Al centro delle strutture una grande ed armoniosa piscina, con tante comode sdraio e ombrelloni. Camera spaziosa e carina, con letti comodi e dotata di frigobar. Scuderia a 300 metri, facilmente accessibile alla clientela e con cavalli docili e molto belli. Passeggiate a cavallo valide, con tantissimi percorsi diversi e suggestivi. Il personale ci ha accolto con grande gentilezza e ospitalità: dal personale dell'hotel a quello che gestisce le scuderie. Un posto molto valorizzato e con ulteriore potenzialità.

Consigli costruttivi per migliorare il servizio già buono: consiglierei di dotare di zanzariere anche le camere adiacenti alla struttura principale, a bordo piscina, in modo da non dover scegliere tra frigobar o zanzariere e altre possibili comodità. Peccato per la posizione vicina alla piscina, ma che non permetteva grande ricircolo d'aria alla camera, piccola pecca strutturale. Speriamo che questi consigli possano esservi utili e vi ringraziamo per l'accoglienza!

Gorgeous family run place! Staff so friendly, felt like I was staying with friends. Food good Italian food! Horse riding was fantastic and well catered. The location was magnificent with outstanding views. I loved my stay here!!

Wifi wasn’t great

The breakfast was simple yet delicious. The property was located high up in the hills surrounded by chestnut trees. Peaceful and beautiful. The pool situated in nice landscaping was very refreshing and fun to watch the swallows bathing. Ping pong table kept the teenagers busy!

The location was in the middle of the Tuscan valley, we did three horse rides, a beginners trail and an experienced ride, which took us through the mountain ranges.We didn’t eat at the hotel but of the people we met, they said the food was good. We found a small village 5 minutes away, which had a great friendly vibe, fairly inexpensive. The pool was clean and had plenty of sun beds. A great place to relax and unwind.

Did not have air conditioning, uncomfortable at night, opened the door and windows to let a breeze through. We requested a fan, but not available for all rooms. No lift, third floor accommodation, good exercise! Horse flies were a pain.. recommend spray and bite cream.
