Rinn Tsukinuke

Lovely traditional townhouse. Well appointed with a washing/drying machine. Very clean and everything worked perfectly. Great check in procedure and helpful staff at the hotel property.

It was a bit too far from the station for us to get around easily. Especially when 3/4 of us came down with a cold. Had to be careful in the very steep stairs.

The House Rinn. Tsukinuke belong to JP RINN hotel group was absolutely perfect. Above all The staff were incredibly wonderful, available, finding solutions to all our requests. In addition, their kindness, availability and understanding was exceptional. the many people on this staff are so professional that all of them could work in 5 star hotels or palaces to work in. THIS level of professionalism is rare and I have traveled a lot, including 5 star hotels, for almost 40 years. Well done to the staff and management. and a lot speak in english , which is so rare in japan in a hotel staff . Thnaks a again at the staff team.

Booking cancelled our reservation at midnight (kyoto time) without inform us. the mail they send 24h befire said :" we will use the card to pay the hotel" . fior US OK, our bank card was ready and our banqu acoont full of paiment. IN despite of the RINN group request, they refuse to fix it. Fortnately for us the Rinn group has acceopted to resrtaure the reservation at the same price we had (because we booked 6 month ago !) and the new price was +50% . BNooking eragse three week reservation without no excuse , no good reason. their process fail. they didnot recingize it and no excuse.

We had a pleasant stay at Rinn Tsukinuke, amazed by the traditional Japanese architecture and design. The staff was friendly and willing to explain the house rules to us clearly. There is a bus stop nearby with just 5min walking distance. Overall, our experience was really wonderful.

Our only minor concern was that the staircase is slightly steep, so have to be careful while climbing up and down.

The craziest toilet ever - in a good way. Good location. Fast internet.

Couldn't open any windows to let the fresh air in. Light in the bathroom and over the vanity mirror from the top so you can't see anything in the mirror properly - hard to shave properly.

Quiet but accessible location .. beautiful Japanese style house

Really nice and comfortable house, in a good but quiet location. Easy to walk to a JR station (10-15m) or a city bus.

Beautiful house, very comfortable bedding. Glad to have the two option for the sitting area (traditional room and a sofa in the kitchen / dining). Great to have this space for a couple to enjoy.

Location is very central but ends up being far from major Kyoto attraction. Closest public transport is bus. Just felt a bit out of the way (which can be a positive)

2 of our rooms were clean and comfy. The staff was nice and really helpful. The location was great very easy to access. The staff kept our bags through checkin.

One of our rooms smelt like mold and was notably worse than the other 2 rooms. We aired it out and it was bearable to stay in. The rooms weren't soundproof and there was alot of loud banging some of the nights which kept us awake. Apart from these two points the accommodation and facilities were amazing.

The townhouse was lovely and quiet and clean. It was nice to have such a big fridge- and freezer- to keep our things. Staff were helpful and accommodating.

Unfortunately, the western-style beds were somewhat saggy in the middle. Newer or better mattresses would have made it 10/10. Although it was nice to have the hotplate, the pan was a little warped and hard to use- lids would also have been nice.
